Summer window watch
Two pigeons have started visiting the balcony railing every morning at seven. Both cats now wake up at 6:55 and take their places on the windowsill.
Nobody has caught anything. Nobody is going to catch anything. The chattering noises are, however, magnificent.
If anyone knows why cats make that clicking sound at birds, the explanations I have read so far range from 'hunting instinct' to 'frustration', which also describes my relationship with the pigeons.
